A race of a camel vs girl (me). My Camel Nessie and I have been racing since she was a couple of weeks old. We walk together, then turn around...I say, "Go!" and we run!!!

Nessie the camel runs really crazy and I try to stay out of her way. Nessie LOVES to run. And she usually wins... :) Funny Camel!

Love Nessie. Can you tell me, is that a normal way for camels to run? I'm not having a go... it just looks so strange. Is it just because Nessie's a baby or does she have an issue with her hind legs?

She can run 'normally', but camels (especially young ones) will run like this when overexcited. It's the equivalent to a bucking horse.

I noticed my dog always had to be a little in front when walking. If we raced, he would bump me so he could be in the lead. Animals are so competitive. Did that camel grunt " I won" at the end. LOL!
