Promotional trailer for a documentary about a group of Peace Corps volunteers in the West African Republic of Niger in the late 1960's. Structured as a collective diary through personal recollections, stills, newsreels, cinema verité and memorabilia, the films recurrent themes are volunteer work, Peace Corps impact in the life of the Nigériens, personal soul searching, self-discovery, and 1960s political and cultural upheaval.

  • Just watched it on the Documentary Channel. It was terrific. Very interesting to see that Africa volunteers in the 60's had a lot A Lot of similarities from training to COS with 2005 Bolivia volunteer. Very well done and thank you!
