Speech by Alice Ann Hoglan, Mark Kendall Bingham's mom, at the conclusion of The Bingham Cup 2010 on Sunday, June 20, 2010 in Minneapolis, MN. The Bingham Cup is a biannual international gay rugby union tournament named after Mark Bingham, a gay rugby player who died in the September 11, 2001 attacks on board United Airlines Flight 93.

I've had the honor of taking place of a documentary about his life and I'm so sorry I couldn't make the Bingham Cup this time round. Alice is a wonderful lady who is relentless in bringing gay rights into the spotlight. Here's to Mark Bingham. A personal hero to me in more ways then I could ever say.
