Scottie,
If you were to make a 2x12 version of the 806, would you close off each side internally? I am into the heavier sound..... would that give more distortion if left open?

@GroovyGuitar02 i wonder if his mesa is not designed to handle such bad treatments , actually . y'know , just wiring a resistor in parallel with the speaker outputs .
When plugged: the signal ignores the resistor when plugged in , but as soon as you unplug , the output tranny still sees the resistor . just takes a stereo switch and a heav-duty resistor .
So , i do think it's possible.
those are good gear . Or , i thought it was a mesa 50/50 , but perhaps it's a silly transistor poweramp xD

@ILikeJuice i don't know , really .
A friend of mine once plugged the 8 ohm output of his ENGL thunder in his soundcard and the amp did not blew . The card did , but it was a cheap one .
Actually , it's awesome how amps can support stuff nowadays . But i won't risk that and he could do 2 shots then mount it with premiere instead of doing such an heresy .

wow , you just unplug a cab as the poweramp was functioning .
You are crazy dude .
and still , it works . Mesa/boogie 50/50 are awesome . And you will for sure shorten its life if you keep doing that , poweramp can definitively blow if you do such .

The Jensen was really middy! I'm currently running a Peavey Scorpion in a cab built out of solid oak using the EV plans and it sounds way huge!

I've got to say, I'm really impressed with the Mesa Thiele's performance, but not the price. Boogafunk is ridiculous with their prices. I don't think anything is more than like $20 to alter. Thank God for custom shops like you guys. Astonished with your customer service too. You'll be hearing from me shortly. Just gotta pull some cash together real quick. ;D

Ahhh it was only a second.... I doubt the trannie is going to start arcing in that short amount of time.

Haha. Sucks for whoever gave you a thumbs down. REALLY appreciate the vids intentions, but yeah, without the cabs properly mic'ed we're really not hearing all the subtle nuances of the speakers. Youtube's compression sucks enough already.
i promise when i get time ill redo the vids. ive been so busy building cabs i havent had time. 500 cabs in two years! not one dis satisfied customer!

its a comparison using the same media not a promo for either. its subjective. just ment to show voicing of speakers under same conditions.
