Yes indeed. What the dancers of Vasilev's, Lavrovsky's and Plisetskaya's generation had was BRAVURA and ENERGY and PASSION. The only dancer I've seen in the Bolsoi in the past 15 years who has it - is Ospipva in Don Q.

I don't know raymonda, looking at her doing Kitri, she is, yes, clean. Extension high. But watch Maya do the same. Maya is on the music, Osipova:no! And, at the end as Maya does her turns down the line and the male corps is behind her, Maya is actually dancing in step with the flourish of their capes, she is dancing with them! It is an entire production, not segmented. Today, the entire production lacks joie de vivre in each Company I have seen. sad!
