I have just read my comment from 6 months ago.....still no sign of that ball coming down yet.

@cmpody You don't fade the ball (at least Jack didn't) giving it an open faced held off glancing blow slice swing. You fade the ball by changing setup so you still release the clubhead and give it a solid blow. The club face is just slightly open to the path. The motion should feel the same as a swing that would produce a draw. A fade should go every bit as far as a draw, as long as it is optimized. I believe they conducted a study about this at trackman dot dk

I have just read my comment from a year ago,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Ohhh by the way,,,has the ball landed yet ?

Everyone loves to talk about the swings of greats such as Ben Hogan, Moe Norman and Sam Snead...I would argue that Jack's lower body movement is at the same level. That is one of the most efficient ways of producing incredible distance with accuracy I have ever seen. Look how he clears his hips and just unwinds, to hit a golf ball 300 yards with that equipment required tremendous club head speed. The greatest champion ever.

such a huge turn, a massive amount of power. I'd be interested to know what kind of shafts he used in his driver in the early 60's.
I know he used to regularly burst the insert in the face of his persimmon drivers back then.

you gotta feel sorry for that golf ball..................did it eventually land on planet earth ?

I looked at your swing on your channel. Very nice. No comparison necessary. Congratulations on your win(s). Your swing is 'money'. Keep it up.

@earthshine2k is my swing JN look like?

@boprn: ok, 220 mtr
That is just an enormous coil. He is creaming the ball. Almost out of control. He looks like one of those guys in a Longest Drive contest. If he makes that swing with the current equipment and balls he would be the longest hitter on tour today.

in the early 1960's Nicklaus won a long drive contest at pro am hitting the ball 347 yrds IMAGINE how far he could have hit it with todays equipment. He would be longer than many top Long drive champs
