Nothing wrong will the driving at all, all this guys overtaking is done with perfect clear visibilty ahead and the mk2 golf is a drivers car and thats what this guy is doing! In fact if more people were this commited to getting on with things and i dont mean speeding as such, traffic flow would be greatly increased.

@lewiskain666 i know exactly where your coming from... type in polo 1 and there is a real quick one done by a german tuner called AME. thats really impressive :)

my mate is a ford nut! uses a V6 mondeo and a zetec s fiesta on the road and has an RS turbo which is yet to see the road since he's owned it!

old cars in general have so much more character and enjoyment... :)

Ah very true, my comment wasn't clear. I should have put "can a standard cossie do that?". I totally agree with you though mate. A suzuki swift would pull quarters in less than 11 secs with enough work done to it.

I think a lot of this is the old Ford/VW rivalry thing. My first car was an '87 XR3i, since then I've got into mk2 golfs. I'd have a mint Series one RST or an XR2 at the drop of a hat. They just seem to be fetching a lot now. Good mk2 GTIs are a grand! :-)
