After fishing Jervis on Thursday for a tough days fishing. I ended up with 5 kingfish ranging from 30cm- 76. Only two for the table.
Washing the boat on Saturday, Phil and I agreed we needed some bigger fish. One place delivers every time so we locked it in. Fightclub- South West Rocks.
Met Phil at my place at 00:30, loaded up and took for the 6 hour drive nth. Picked Simon up on the way.
Got up to SWR about 07:00am.
We grabbed some livies at the bait grounds but they were forgotten about as the jigs were all we needed.
First drop. Double hook up.
Next drift. Triple hook up.
It continued till just after lunch time when decided to pull the pin. With 3 each on ice for the table and everyone's fatigue setting in, we decided to head back.
We left with the Kings balled up and headed off to see if we could jag a marlin on the way in. Put out the spread in 23deg water, did about 2 hours worth. No luck though.
Nice drive back to Sydney arriving at midnight. Mission successful.
Such an awesome place to fish.
