heh yeah best of luck dude. i want to become a filmmaker myself but i want to learn how to do it with my college classes. just curious but how do you deal with procrasination? that's my biggest problem. p.s.: ironically, a Smurfs movie IS actually in development

Smurfs are really going to be a movie? NOOOOOOOOOO!!! I better get my movie off the ground before I see those friggin' smurfs on the big screen!

College classes are a great resource. Regarding procrastination...that's a tough one. When you really love to do something, it's hard NOT to do it. One thing you can do is help someone else who is excited about a different project. Commit to help that person and he will hold accountable. Just a thought. As for me...these vids help me.

Just read an article on GQ that talks about branded material...I'm surprised they didn't mention your personal struggles in moviemaking due to it.
