To mutilate is to destroy a limb or an essential part of a person or animal. Ear cropping is cosmetic surgery that actually *improves* the movement of the ears in some breeds. At the very worst it simply changes the shape of the ear, it's not disfiguring, and it has no negative effects on the animal.

EVERY1 WHO SAYS EAR CROPPING IS BAD CAN SUCK A DICK! obviously any1 who says that has never owned game bred pitbulls and often have to heal ripped ears. When u own game bred dogs especially 2 males fights are going 2 happen. that doesnt make me a dog fighter. that jus meanz SHIT HAPPENZ. i have 3 pitbulls. 2 males and 1 female. and i will ALWAYZ crop ears on my males atleast from here on out. It may be uncomfterable for them at the time but it saves them alot of ear injuries later.

@kalitaortiz1 First of all, neutering does not consist of removing the testicles anymore halfwit, so stop trying to look smart. And second, there is a reason why we neuter, to prevent DOZENS of diseases that can be fatal to the animal. Cropping ears DOES NOT benefit the dog in any way and is completely unnecessary. Do you have the same outlook on humans? So my BF is mine so I can mutilate him too? My kids are mine so I can cut their limbs off because it looks cool to me? THINK!!

Circumcision is done for medical benefits, ear cropping is done because they owner thinks it looks cool. It's the truth and you know it. It is done to prevent genital infection in humans, and spaying and neutering prevents DOZENS of fatal diseases in canines and felines. Your comparing a fork to a spoon. It doesn't work that way and your point is invalid and mundane. Try again. Or better yet, don't try at all.

@argophontes Not true and stop spouting nonsense. It has been scientifically proven as well as medically proven that there is NOT ONE MEDICAL BENEFIT that the dog will receive from this procedure. This procedure is nothing more than humans thinking they know what nature should look like. It's cruel, painful and more and more vets in the US are refusing to do it. And no negative effects? LIES!! Cropped ears are the number 2 reason for ear infection in dogs you nitwit.
