  • The areas that burned super hot... will not grow back... when a fire reaches a certain temp it scorches the layer of organic material needed for recovery....But fire was ment to be in nature,,, it cleans up the earth...and clears the way for new life...Before humans tried to control fire in burned the west every year...but we have disrupted the natural order of fire and its burning hotter then ever...year.

  • Interesting fire devil - nice shot!

  • is there a forest left there?

  • Well, the fire DID take out a LOT of forest, but there's still some left in adjecent areas that didn't burn.

It's surprising how fast burned areas recover from wildfires. In 1-2 years, the mountains will be covered with new, fast-growing plantlife. In 5-10 years it will likely be dense with brush and new trees will be poking up through the undergrowth. It's hard to keep nature down! :-)
