Spring and Summer are on the way. The busiest time for a henna artist. Some of my clients request designs from a book. I am a free hand artist, however I must conform if I want to pay the bills. So, here is my attempt at an Arabic Design that I got from one of my design books.

I plan to compile a large book of designs to take along with me to my various events and gigs during the Spring and Summer months. Please let me know what you think.

The henna I used is from Morocco.

  • It gets darker by itself right? and how long do u leave the toilet paper on ur hand?

  • @Tehzeeb100 The henna will darken over 2 days. I leave the toilet paper on for 4-6 hours.

  • @FreeHandMehndi using oil would darken it instantly yeah? :)

  • @nurnatasha95 Not always. The oil commonly used in India will only darken the stain slightly to maybe a dark orange. Sometimes the oils are not safe, sometimes they are ok. I think the stain fades faster when using the henna oil.

  • hi there, I was wondering if you could help me use your website? I'm finding it very difficult to find your products and order them? I was also wondering if you could do a tutorial for lots of different finger designs! :D

  • Some cones may be old or something and as a result, show up ;lighter or not at all. but from my experience most stains turn orange almost like a hi-liter color at first then the next few days get darker. It helps if you do not exfoliate the design like if its on your feet, don't scrub your feet. [duh] also, the first day of having the design done, try not to get it wet. Even after you've brushed off the paste because the stain will last longer if you let it be.

  • wow this henna is very good its becoming more and more red colour. i have buy a henna cone but its not going more than yellow colour, dont now why, maybe some henna is good some henna is duplicate :(.

  • How long do you have to leave the henna itself on for it to stain that darkly?

  • Hi. Just wondering...how do you manage to do such fine lines whilst doing#your mehndi?

I have so mnay nice designs drawn on paper but when i try

to redo designs with the mendhi cone, its not as neat as it should be...

how can one do fine lines? also do you have facebook?

    Thank you

  • I don't like applying sugar water because i feel that the colour from the henna designs bleeds onto the skin around the design (the blank parts of the skin) so it doesnt stand out much i guess.

  • @FreeHandMehndi oh alright thks for the info :D
