Not only is this a gig log, but a look at a Milwaukee Icon... The Domes!

A different kind of wedding indeed. You'll see the set-up is very strange but everything turned out great in the end.

Enjoy!

  • S'funny how bizarre places distract your clients. Narrow rooms leading off to others always scatter folks.

I've played some interesting venues; Stately Homes, TV Sets, Marquees and even inside a Castle in the UK!

Worst venues are sports halls that badly echo & trash your sounds. Get the same folks in a restraunt & you could have a great night!

Yep venues sure can make or break a disco & size always matters - too big is just too big at times...

    You did well. Very proffesional.

  • Thank You! Do you have any footage of your gigs on Youtube? I'm always intirested in what other DJs around the world are doing with Mobiles :)

  • yeah the domes

  • I can understand not feeling well and wanting to be done to get home but ending the night with such an empty and emotionless send off like "Thanks a lot guys, that's it. G'night" misses the mark by a MILE!

  • i love all your videos

  • Centralize the sound to the dance floor, and having the Dance floor as the sound hot spot are topics that you have mentioned before. And to be honest it has made me think about what i am trying to acheive sound wise....no not blast the whole area nice clean quality sound where it matters.....good job Brian, even after all this time, the tips are really helpful. this gig went well, yes your right need to take my laptop with mixmeister way forward i thinks!! cheers j

  • Hi, Thx for the reply. no sorry ATM I dont have any vids at all, even photo's are scarce. Seeing your vidieo has sparked lots of ideas though. I might compile say school discos. Parties with games (children & adults, wedding disco, birthday parties, business events or even working alongside a live band, Perhaps backstage sound & lighting. DIY projects might be fun (making lightboxes, simple wiri

    All the best.

  • Agreed, this inside look at a gig is really helpful! Last night we were asked to DJ a set at a small club, shorthand and with little experience ... all in all a jump in at the deep end.

Having watched a couple of Brians videos I had a pretty good idea how things would look like and everything turned out ok. Thanks to you, Brian.

BTW The laptop only crashed once so I was telling jokes over the pa during the reboot, they loved it ;)

  • what songs could you not find?
