Powering the People - Electric Vehicles

Mass market adoption of plug-in electric vehicles (PEVs) has the potential to fundamentally transform the nation's energy use, reducing our dependence on foreign oil, decreasing emissions of greenhouse gases, and increasing national security. This panel, moderated by Tony Earley, Executive Chairman of DTE Energy, and featuring Ted Craver of Edison International, Nancy Gioia of Ford Motor Company, Britta Gross of General Motors, Don Karner of ECOtality, and Jim Piro of Portland General Electric, will discuss the effort to prepare for the deployment of PEVs with PEV readiness initiatives and partnerships between utilities, automakers, third party infrastructure providers, and battery manufacturers.
