not really, they r really heavy. They got a good acceleration for it's weight though...

My father has one just like it with a couple differances.Has the 4 speed with the 409.Dual carb set up too and is a clone.It does go.

Mine was fawn beige with the red upholstery and side stripe. Cast iron Powerglide and a 283. Manual brakes. Just a base Impala 2-door hardtop. I'd had the engine rebuilt at 90K. I kept the car for 15 years and I was ready to let it go on to somone who really had the money and time to finish the restoration. I loved it, bit I don't miss it a bit. I had my fun!
