  • A man in the pub from Dundee

Had a brain just the size of a pea

When he drank too much beer

It would roll out his ear

And drop in his chaser whisky!

    :-)

  • May I have your attention please?

The turkish translation of the english word "turkey" is exactly "hindi" in Turkish.

Also, as you may know, the english word "hindi" means the language of India in English. But, we Turks never tease Indian people for this similarity. Therefore, you can keep going if that makes you feel good.

  • Hi Bndyst,

just to let you know that the Turkey in the limerick is not the country but the bird!

In England turkey is the traditional dish at Christmas. I think the same is for Thanksgiving in the US. So the reader of the Limerick is wearing a funny hat which is a turkey i.e. the bird if you look closely.

So please don't get offended for no reason!

    Cheers
