Walter Dickman is interviewed by Yvonne Collier CSP who is also a recipient of the award named after Walter Dickman.
The Walter Dickman Award is for outstanding service to National Speakers Association of Australia, NSW Chapter and the community.
Walter died aged 91 on 11.10.09. I had the privilege of giving the eulogy, honouring the HUGE contribution of Walter Dickman to the professional speakers of Australia.
Walter helped found the National Speakers Association of Australia along with John Nevin, Ron Tacchi & Doug Malouf. Walters mentoring leadership amplified their enthusiasm.
He was a man with an absolute genuine interest in encouraging people.
When I received the National Speakers Association of Australia prestigious Walter Dickman Award in 2006, it was for the same spirit Walter placed as a benchmark for outstanding service to the National speakers NSW Chapter and community.
Walter expressed humility in having an award named after him, the honoured annual recipients (since 95) . . . were delighted to be recognized as examples of Walters spirit and values.
