20091219 SB59 ODU Xmas shopping isn't for everyone.wmv

Sunny Kilmarnock the last Saturday before Xmas. True my positioning wasn't that good, but the black VW beside me started to overtake and got very close. I rapped on the side window with my glove. Lady driver panicked and skidded to a halt (she later claimed that she knew where I was). Continued on then heard shouting behind me. Pulled up to be smacked in the face by grumpy Saturday shopper (passenger). He was very concerned that I had hit his car!!!

All went a bit handbaggy after that. After the shock reported it to Strathclyde Police who came to my house and took a copy of the film and pertinent stills. I requested that the idiot in black was not prosecuted for assault but only given a warning. We can all have a bad day and an assault charge on your record will ban you from ever working with children or any public.

Hope he see this and had the balls to admit he was wrong - but I doubt it.

Then you've got yourself in totally the wrong position for the roundabout and quickly lane change across the front of the car behind.

Then you start to position yourself to pass up the inside of the blue Punto before guy confronts you. You're riding erratically, how is any other road user supposed to know what you're going to do next?

Then you have the cheek to say to the guy, " You were in ma F*ckin way” You were barging your way through traffic!!!

@TheSmig Quite right I was in the wrong position for the roundabout, the closest one is about 1/2 a mile away. I had passed them and was in the filter lane to go straight across where else was I likely to go? I knocked on the drivers window as she decided that I wasn't there. I position myself behind the blue Punto as the road is now 2 lanes, the right lane waiting to turn into the busy car park.

Its a bit of a nightmare that whole area and cycle lanes absense doesnt help especially as its access for bus station and taxi rank aswell always choked

If towns busy imho i avoid and take right slip road and the 1st left past church (just were your vid starts)
