I listened to the clip again. I do like the sound of a tenor sax. The band is very capable of doing that sort of music. For that particular song in the setting that you were playing...it would work even better to emphasize some dynamics.....start very subdued and then let it develop into more energy as the song evolves. Maybe even the bass player could adjust his sound to sound more like an upright bass. Marcus does that a lot. It is a good tune...I think you guys could nail it.
