Electronic Trash Village - China

Every year, 35 million tonnes of electronic waste is exported to China to be scrapped. There the rubbish is broken down by hand, poisoning workers and polluting the environment. "Smoke from the computers is too strong to breathe", complains one disposal worker. "I feel dizzy and can't see any more". Many employees at the electronic disposal plant suffer from respiratory illness or skin diseases. They work for ten hours a day, with no protection from the hazardous chemicals.

@lexichronicle2 If he was smart he'd strip the boards in a rotating arrangement so he didn't have to cook the epoxy substrate so badly on each individual board. That is what I do. I rotate about 5 boards at a time, work one a little then rest it and work another. But I am trying to salvage the parts in working order.

@ReallyLav I know. I'm an electronics hobbyist. This is my porn. I'd dive right onto one of them piles of circuit boards. Chips! Heat sinks! I'd have been right there over one of them metal plates with the molten solder on them pulling parts. Only 10 hours? I think I got a good 14 in me today!
