Mega Man 9 - Wily's Fortress : Stage 1

Now it's time to raid Wily's fortress! There's only 4 stages to his fortress this time around, but they're all fairly long and difficult with lots and lots of places to suffer an easy death.

This first stage is no exception, starting off with lots of bottomless pits and spike traps! The dragon mini-boss even makes another appearance to try and take Mega Man down once more.

The room most people get stuck at in this stage is a room where three horizontal lava beams seem to permanently block your way. There is actually two ways to go about getting past this... there's either my way shown in the video, or you can use the Concrete Shot to freeze the lava beams temporarily letting you run quickly to safety.

If there's a weakness to this stage's boss, I haven't been bothered to try and find it. The boss seems setup to be a Mega Buster only boss, but I could be wrong.

you do know that you can use the concrete shot to silidify the fire beams, and the jewel shield against the enemies in the beginning, and finally the black hole bomb against the dragon
