  • It was made 30 years ago. The laboratory of Wasedadaigaccotowari Department of Engineering made it in 1984.

    WABOT-2 can talk in Japanese, and can perform the tune at a middle level with the electronic organ by reading music by eyes, and using the both hands both feet.

    In addition, to the recognition of person's singing voice, the automatic record in a musical note, and the accompaniment according to person's singing voice based on this.

    1984 year is year when Macintosh was put on the market.

  • I remember seeing the WABOT at the 1984 Tsukuba Science Expo on my first trip to Japan. If I remember correctly, it could play just about anything because it was actually reading the sheet of music. And I remember its voice being clearer.
