He doesn't mean completely flat. You normally leave them about 17psi and you can climb the softests sand dune with ease. Sand driving in any vehicle is all about low tyre pressures
@WestJetOwner You might have to replace something when it breaks, because chains don't break lightly. They bang and whiplash against anything they encounter. Ankles, too.
run the tires flat and the tw goes amazing in the sand. It just lacks power to get up the real steep dunes. You get a lot of weird looks on one too :)
