@sabelmo indeed last november I went through the checkpoint from Jerusalam to Bethlehem - I walked straight through showed passport with visa page opened - the whole process took 12 seconds.Sorry to dissapoint you.

Israeli soldiers at checkpoints are almost always a 1000 times meaner... Never did I hear an Israeli soldier say sorry in my whole 20 years of living in Palestine! Also, checkpoints to Ramallah (or anywhere in Palestine) do not at all look like this. They are humiliating and the only way to understand how awful the checkpoints are is to go and see for yourself. So please do!
