When books are being scanned by conventional scanners or copiers the spine of the book is heavily overstreched.
The bookscanner BooX enhances a careful and enduring handling of books through its adapted design. Thereby the durability of the books is extended.
Its triangular profile, a reference to an open book, ensures a safe and even surface for books to be scanned.
BooX is intended to be released in two versions. A compact model that contains only a scanning unit and an advanced version for librarys that consists of a rotateable wall mount.
By rotating BooX at 180° angle, not only is its formal nature changed but its function as well.
The opposite side of BooX, which is the counterpart of the scanner, works as a printing device.
BooX also converts analogue books to digital „e-books that can be downloaded to a USB stick by using an integrated connection.
