  • That Vampyr set looks great...reminds me of my Sin City set, which has one of the books included.

  • @CineRam That's the one thing I wish the Sin City blu ray had. I may try to find a cheap used price for the book if I can. I've always been wanting to read it and any Sin City book in general.

  • @theInnerdvdPattern - My favorite of the set is "Family Values", shorter than the rest but very good. I'd loved to see Rodriguez put that one on film...there's a great part in it for Susan Sarandon.

  • @CineRam I'll have to check that one out then. For what I understand, you can read the volumes out of order right? I thought I heard they were self contained. Yeah I hope Rodriguez actually gets around to making another Sin City. I know they've talked about it for a while at this point I'll believe when I see it.

  • Kes <3 I think all my Criterions have been blind buys except Blow Out and Fish Tank!

I know a boy who looks just like the kid in Kes. I can't get over it now and point it out to everyone but seems no one knows what i'm talking about!

  • @DVDeMm Hah nice!

Really? Hmm that's interesting! Yeah it's definitely not a lot of people in our age group would run out to buy or see unfortunately.

  • @theInnerdvdPattern - He made an announcement recently that they could shoot the new film before the end of the year. I, too, believe it when I see it. I used to have the chronological order of the stories written down somewhere...Family Values is a Dwight book that probably takes place after Dame to Kill For and Big Fat Kill, so probably near or at the end of the timeline. The first book he did was Marv in Hard Goodbye, and since Marv died in that one the other Marv stories have to be prior.

  • @theInnerdvdPattern That's cool there's both though. Not many films can say they have that :)

Yeah and even as a kid he was a great actor! Christopher Lloyd is an Angel, NOTHING BETTER! lol

It's funny too because your of age you forget people can still card you, then if happens to you and you automatically feel like they think your sneaking in. Urgh! lol

  • @TheBSKILL Well I do like color a lot on blu ray too but for Wings Of Desire I liked the Black & White parts more.

Haha yes! It's definitely a childhood favorite for me too. Plus it has Joseph Gordon Levitt in one of his first roles as the main kid.

    Awesome!

Hah yeah probably. I get that too. Anytime I see an R rated movie I get carded...even if it's some teenager working!

  • @theInnerdvdPattern I'm the same way. Although I don't own a movie on BluRay that's Black & White yet, I'm sure it comes out great. Lol, my favorite is "Angles in the Outfield" childhood favorite.

Yeah, it's hard to make light of what sounded like an intense premise of a child trying to make sense of all that turmoil. Really made me want to see it though :)

LOL! Then that's them just being pricks. I just hate having to always show my ID because nobody believes I'm of age :(
