Nokia 6300 battery upgrade to BL-5C

My first experiment to upgrade Nokia 6300 battery BL-4C 860mAh to BL-5C 1020mAh
It is a good idea to not grinding, but cutting a battery i.e. with shaving blade.

Result:
With fully charged BL-4C 860mAh radio plays on half volume with headphones about 20 hours.
With fully charged BL-5C 1020mAh radio plays on half volume with headphones about 30 hours.
Max capacity I see - BL-5C 1200mAh

both the 4c and 5c are the same and are interchangeable. I had an old phone that I lost with a 5c battery and a new phone with a 4c battery in it. I swapped the batteries (since the old phone needed charging). They both still worked and the batteries are both ok. I am glad a company like Nokia keeps their batteries and chargers the same when they change models. Way to go Nokia

Not bad, I succeeded but the metal cover was very hard to squeeze on. so I just punched the phone a couple of times in the table and - Voila! thanks, dude! :)

@zademon - Yes, the BL-5C fits into the X2-00 (No force required, or modifications) Just slips into place. Need to push alittle harder on the battery cover (back casing) to clip in, is all. All is fine, my X2-00 last alot longer now.

There is no need to do it. I'm already using a BL-5C on my 6300 without any modification. All u have to do is to force a little bit to put the battery in the phone.

I've tries this, after I saw this video, and it works like a charm. I've wondered about this a long time ago, since I have another phone with a BL-5C in it, but I didn't have the guts to do it... :)
