  • Where can I get this video?

Thanks for all the others. Was unsure whether to get the comedies. The Twelfth Night persuaded me they are all worth having. Much better than I expected.

Anything else directed by Jane Howell?

  • I see this Oedipus available only at "Films for the Humanities and Sciences"--$159.00 US for DVD!

Jane Howell directed the Henry VI, Winter's Tale, Titus and Richard III for BBC series. I'll upload more in future from these...

  • Either everything is a matter of Luck, and there are no gods, or, if the gods exist, they take no interest in men. If man is condemned to freedom and loneliness, he must build meaning out of his own experience. See. Positivism and Pragmatism.

  • One more thing - do you have (or have you seen) the John Barton Playing Shakespeare videos?

  • Another series I would love to find are the two BBC series done in the 50s and 60s. Peter Brook's Wars of the Roses with Ian Holm as R3. Forgot who did the earlier version and the title. Not important, it is not to be found outside academic archives.

Have you seen Peter Brook's Hamlet (Adrian Lester)?

    HASTILY --

ps. did you like the Sher-RSC Winter's Tale?

  • Thanks. $159.00 Arrgh. Would rather have the other BBC plays. I have the histories. Watch Howell's over and over and over and over. See something new every time.

She did two others in the BBC series which I will get. Wondered if there is anything else of hers on video.

Have you seen the Pennington-Bogdanov-English Shakespeare Company R2-H4 on VHS? The R2 is very interesting. H4 less so. Their H6 is not available here - it might be in UK.
