@ShelbourneFC yes i am talking about tg4 and the station the game is on means nothing except that the numbers were still huge despite the game being only between 2 counties. also the ireland games are being watched by people from 32 counties. and they still wont get higher views than gaa finals between only 2 counties or even semis that involve dublin or hurling finals. i'm going to poland next summer with about 15 mates but we are only going for the piss up like most do CONTINUED.

@ShelbourneFC part 2 the standard is shit. take dcu for example the soccer team is reasonable good but the players dont even get free gym membership and train at such an unprofessional level. compare that to the gaa team whos third team is made up of players that train and play far more professionally than the first soccer team. end of the day us gaa heads are suporting the most irish of games but you lots are west brits.

@ShelbourneFC the national hurling league and football league finals were watched by a record number of people for any tg4 program and dublins group games were watched live by hundreds of thousands. then for the amount going to them remember there are 32 teams in the league so obviously there not all going to get huge numbers like dublin, meath, tyrone etc do. also i'm living in dublin and the majority of people who play soccer dont take it seriously. also the standard is (tbc)

Compare the amount of people that watch the league versus the amount of people that watch the English Premier league and it clearly outrules your argument. Plus you never responded to the amount of people that play football. The Dublin District Schoolboys league is Europe's biggest schoolboy league - and that's only in Dublin, and that's even forgetting about other leagues in Dublin and senior leagues
