i fucking love the kinks always listened to them on the radio when i was 14 my dad threw sleepwalker on my bed and said listen to this and i fell in love same with sticky fingers my dad is fuckin awsome

Love this song. They are a phenomenal band that have great music. Well other than that quick pop phase they had with come dancing...

In the late 70"s Disco was huge, and I detested it. Some rockers thought they should incorporate the Disco sound and meld it with their own brand of Rock n Roll, ie: the Stone and Rod Stewart, the result in my opinion was disastrous. Thank God for the Kinks Sleepwalker, good song writing with amazing musicianship. Honerable mention should also go to J. Geils. Monkey Island, and also Pink Floyd Animals. Not a hint of Disco in all 3 albums....

Sleepwalker is so great. I don't understand why, when people talk about the Kinks second classic era, they always rank Misfits above Sleepwalker.
