TRANSCRIPT:
JOE SCARBOROUGH :There was an information stream, though, that some people were misled on, especially that unity conference.
MIKA BRZEZINSKI: Yeah. oh.
SCARBOROUGH: It's going to be a unity conference. we are going to have mitt there and we are going to have—
BRZEZINSKI: And Sarah Palin will be christening a new quarter or something.
JONATHAN ALTER: The idea that she had been a Pat Buchanan supporter, it turns out she was really a Steve Forbes supporter. And that's something that I got wrong.
SCARBOROUGH: Hold on. Hold on.
ALTER: So when we make a mistake, we like to point it out.
SCARBOROUGH: Hold on, hold on, Buchan will tell you, she may have supported Forbes in 2000 but that was only because he was out of the primary by then. Buchan still thinks she may have been a member of the brigade in 1996.
BRZEZINSKI: [laughing] That's great.
ALTER: Here is something that I think we need to focus a little administer on. Not Palin, McCain.
SCARBOROUGH: Yeah.
ALTER: Basically, I asked one of the McCain people yesterday, "Let me get this clear, what you are saying is that Barack Obama is though the prepared and not qualified to be commander in chief, but Sarah Palin is? Is that your position? And he said, yes. Now that's going to be a hard position to sell.

Yes, because Republicans are very in touch with the American people. Just look at how much the American people love our current president. The same president that John McCain votes with 91% of the time.
