Norway March 2008 - Alta Igloo Hotel

Alta - Igloo Hotel.

This video is from the Thursday we were in Alta.
Me, Elise, Patrick and Jon visited Alta's Igloo Hotel.

For those who may not know, it is a hotel made of Ice and snow.
It's really nice to be in, and pretty cosy despite being about -4'C inside.

It had:
- About 16 room (Cannot remember the exact number) including two wedding suits,
- A bar with glasses made of ice (tricky to pick up)
- Various ice sculptures of people and animals
- A colour-lit northern light sculpture on the wall.
- A lot of reindeer skin (Poor Rudolf)
- Lots of blue & green lights in the ice, which looked awesome!

It was really amazing.
Someone asked me what happens in the summer -- It becomes the puddle-Hotel ^^
That's just a joke by the way.

It's re-built every year, and is always different. The lodge was also really nice too.

Defiantly somewhere I'd stay, at least once. And something I'd recommend a visit if you're there at that time of year.

Not sure. I think it's about the price of a good hotel. Probably find the answer with google - Like everything in the world really lol.

Why are there so many beautiful ice sculptures in the Hotel ? Did you live in that hotel when you were there ?
