  • Hi, just wondering , did you change out the motor for a single phaze? If you did, what horse power and rpm did you get? I just bought a 12" 3phaze 5hp 3450rpm that im changing to a single phaze 5hp 3450rpm 23amp today.... Your machine is real nice :) Kind Regards, Ron from Mission b.c.

    No that is a 1725 RPM 3ph 3hp motor. The buzzing at the beginning of the video is the phase converter running. The motor is turning an 8" pulley, so a 3450 rpm motor would have been way too fast for babbitt bearings.
