No, Ron. It's Mike playing, the owner of the Gros Morne craft store in Rocky Harbour (Rocky Point?...close to Norris Point, anyway). He has a guy who builds them.
I took it out to the Winnipeg Folk Festival and a young fella from the U.S. was just amazing on it in the campground...jamming with other musicians. It's such a versatile instrument.
Hey I knows Mike......he's one of Gros Morne's finest craft store owner!!! Tell him Mike Madigan of the Sharecroppers says hello. We would often play together...Mike on the spoons and me on the uglystick..right there in his store!! Have a look at my you tube uglystick presentation..put in the words : uglystick lesson 2 by Sharecroppermike of Newfoundland
Wow! What a great little rhythm instrument. Did you build it?

Hi
I was a tourist from Manitoba, so I can't say hello to Mike for you! I bought an ugly stick and it's been worth every penny.
I saw your demonstration, very good.
Tanks for the comment!
