James Bezan, M.P. for Selkirk-Interlake hold a press conference with Dan Demers of the Canadian Cancer Society and Dr. Ian Landells of the Canadian Dermatology Association to discuss Bill C-386 (An Act to Amend the Radiation Emitting Devices Act). This bill imposes tough regulations on tanning equipment by; prohibiting youth under 18 years of age from accessing tanning equipment, stipulating that commerical establishments that having tanning equipment must place signs in clear view of the public that list the dangers of tanning beds and mandating that tanning beds must have a warning label placed on them that lists the dangers of indoor tanning (including a warning that indoor tanning can cause cancer).
