omg!! i remember this! it made getting in and out of scv sooo hard! i had to go back in the hills to get out of santa clarita and i sat in a parking lot traffic on the way back! literally same place for over 3 hours!! i got out and walked around the freeway! this is soo crazy true how vulnurable we are!

Santa Clarita doesn't need anymore development. La Loma in my opinion would be totally destroyed during an earthquake. The Newhall Pass is terrible when it comes to earthquakes. It destroyed the freeway overpasses in 71 and in 94. Traffic was a nightmare in 94 during the northridge earthquake. Can you imagine how bad traffic is going to be when the next big one hits? I mean Santa Clarita is much larger now than it was in 94. But that is the price we pay for living in such a beautiful valley.

I live on Lyons Ave. and everyone was one it I couldn't go anywhere not even on my bike. It sucked.

I wasn't sure what you meant at first as I am from the UK where we drive on that side of the road anyway, then relaised that of course you're in the USA. Shame to hear about the tragedy in the tunnel, we have simular traffic melt down when, for example, the Dartford or the Blackwall Tunnel closes

I hear you. I know we all have these stupid traffic issues. That's why we need to start riding mopeds or something. Thanks for your UK veiwership. I still want to go over there one of these days.
