Note: I refer to 20th Anniversary Optimus Prime as 25th Anniversary Optimus Prime. My bad.

is this thing battery operated? i got mine today and when i pressed the try me button while he was still in the box, he didnt do anything. thanks in advance!

It is battery operated. Its sounds like the batteries have died in your unit. Should be simple enough to replace them. You may need a screwdriver to remove the battery cover. Enjoy your new acquisition!
