This is for my mom. She is the reason why I am a musician. I inherited my music genes from her, she never studied formally, but she had a Pujol Spanish Guitar, and would play it like a pro. She and her sisters would sing all sort of music as they were growing up, and that awesome quartet would burst into music, and my mom would play the guitar and sing the harmonic parts with her gorgeous Alto voice. She literally blasted me and my siblings with ALL SORT OF MUSICAL STYLES, from Brazilian music, to Ravel, to Rachmaninov, to African-Venezuelan folkloric music... and for us that was the normal environment. Then later when I discovered I could not be a happy person unless I would dedicate my life to music, there she was again, supporting me, loving me, protecting me; she said: For as long as I can help you and support you, YOU WILL DO, and STUDY exactly what makes you the happiest. So it was the most natural, logical and beautiful thing to do.
