Paraphrased remark from good ol Ben Franklin. Franklin didn't give us much chance of keeping our republic. The constitution was an attempt to provide the rule of law and not the "rule of men" which is where we are at this moment. Franklin was right. Can our republic be restored? I don't think so. Too many people are still looking to others for their salvation.

Yes, making calls, signing petitions, etc. are several ways of making true change (the catch phrase of 2008-09 per Obama zombies). You have to start with yourself in your change of attitude. I've found that SIMPLICITY is the only way (for me) to have true peace and serenity. Oh, don't get me wrong, I don't mind standing up and making my voice heard in the name of Liberty and Freedom. The USA has slowly become/becoming the USSA---United Socialist States [of] America---a travesty.

heck yes- make your voices heard!! I write, email and call my govenors about their poor legislation chioces, we are the people they believe that elect them so we can control them as much as they control us- but we have to do it as a society- as a human race, as a group. The people who ask what is my one vote going to do? I used to think change couldnt happen and society was doomed but it seems ilke there is hope out there afterall. I dont want to be a pessmist so I try to act optimistic.

As of 2PM 10/9/09 the American Private Police Force has ended it's venture into buying the Two Rivers Detention Facility. Are community is both disappointed that our facility is still empty and relieved that this fiasco has ended. We appreciate all the calls of concern, but nothing has happened.
