Mulla Bassim al-Karbalaei recites this heartbreaking eulogy for Imam Hussain (a.s.), over 1,300 years after Imam Hussain's oppression and martyrdom. Imam Hussain is the blessed grandson of the Holy Prophet Mohammed (s.a.w.).

For the Arba3een of Imam Hussain (40 days after the anniversary of his martyrdom) millions walk to Karbala, Iraq where Imam Hussain is buried, arriving there on the Arbaeen of Imam Hussain. Last Arbaeen, around 13 million or more travelled to Karbala to mourn Imam Hussain, and year after year Muslims from all over the world: Iraq, Bahrain, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iran, Kuwait, Syria, Lebanon and countless other countries. Here Mulla Bassim is reciting about those walking to Karbala.

باسم الكربلائي

Despite that Imam Hussain died over 1300 years ago, his martyrdom, struggle and tribulation in Karbala is an inspiration to millions around the world today. Millions mourn and cry for him, as if he died yesterday.
