This is one of the three Nauta Bussink Evolution rides ever built. Max Eberhard ran the ride at German Fairs starting in 1992.The Evolution was sold to Mirabilandia Park in Italy where it ran a number of years. Vekoma brokered the deal to send the sixteen forty foot containers to Six Flags Great Adventure as part of a major ride expansion in 1999. This ride was frequently not operating at Great Adventure and as a result it was sold to Six Flags St Louis where it was rethemed as Xcalibur and some mechanical and electrical updates resulted in a more reliable attraction. This video is one of the few times I was able to ride and catch the Evolution in action at Great Adventure. Other than that we used to call it "the worlds largest lawn ornament".

  • wanst that behind the bumper cars that are now blocked off??

  • The ride behind the bumper cars was the "Pendulum" which is now called the "Revolution" at Six Flags Great America in Gurnee, IL. The generic name for the ride made by Huss is "Frisbee" The EVOLUTION was located between the Giant Wheel and Skull Mountain. Last I knew you could still see the area where the ride operated from the imprint. I'm not sure why, but it seems like rides run more reliably once they leave SFGAdv.

  • is this the ride that used to be behide the bumper cars?

  • That ride would have been Pendulum, a HUSS Frisbee that is now at Six Flags Great America in Gurnee, IL and is not called Revolution. The EVOLUTION ride in this video has been at Six Flags St Louis since 2004 and is now called XCALIBUR. The other two Giant Evolution rides are not currently in operation.

  • I meant "now called Revolution"

  • Evolution was always down

  • this is a copy of the german ride."the imperator."

  • If my memory serves me right, I think Astroworld had a ride like this, same name and everything, but it was rarely in use due to mechanical issues and then was finally shutdown, and moved to another SF

  • I've been to many of the SixFlags parks over the years but have never had a chance to ride this. From the looks of this thing in the video I think I would have probably chickened out anyway. I rode something at the state fair here, that looked similar with the same name Evolution but it didn't go all the way around and upside down, just side to side. Once I turned 30 I swore off anything too far off the ground lol

  • @johnrea77 this is not a fisbie its alike ,but way different frisbie are not weighted on top and dont go all the way around and the chairs dont go upside down spinning,

  • Vert Fast! :O

  • this peice of shit is long gone thank god

  • I would like the spinny part, not so much the upside-downish part
