  • in sketchup 8, you need to go to file/add geolocation add the type in the address. Google earth is no longer required.

  • Awesome tutorial!! I jsut have one problem, when I import the terrain from GE into SU the image is under a slight angle and the terrain doesnt quite match the GE one...any ideas how to fix this?

  • @ecosoce If the model axis isn't true north or 90, then use the axis tool in sketchup to realign.

  • SketchUp8 does not have the Google Earth Get Image icon. It has Get More Imagery but the Google Earth Imagery is totally outdated. It looks like 2006 imagery. How can I get 2011 imagery so I can use it in my SketchUp projects?
