Every Autumn around 50,000 Barnacle and other Geese arrive from Greenland on the Scottish Isle of Islay. The Geese usually arrive at Loch Gruinart before they spread over the island in search for good grassland to graze on. In the evening and night they roost at Loch Gruinart and Loch Indaal near Bridgend. The arrival at the roost is a fantastic spectacle of nature.
