Finally a chance to make a dark and macabre film, which is only
fitting for an adaptation of Shakespear's Macbeth. This is our
extended interpertation of Act 1 Scene 1 of The Scottish Play, when the three witches meet. We hope you all enjoy our English Class project and wait anxiously for our next film!

  • interesting...would have been better had two witches confronted the innocent and turned HER into a witch.

  • @Finarphin Oh please...I apologised for mistaking it for a professional production already. The truth as I see it is NOT what you have written above, but that this opening is a cliched & stereotypical horror scene as can be watched in any number of B-Grade modern horror films, thus no unconventional action & extremely little initiative. You really seem to want me to pan these young peoples production to hell, instead of keeping my critique to myself. In other words - bugger off.

  • @darkallegiance666 What most people do is mentally combine the known text of Shakespeare with a set of dramatic conventions, leading to a construct that seems right to them. You think this is not according to the script, but what it has is a lot of unconventional action. How much action is specified in the script? Nothing. So you can criticize it as being "wrong according to my taste," or the like, but not that it doesn't stick to the script. It shows promise & initiative.

  • @Alchemist1330 I'm really sorry about the harsh words, but at least you can take some comfort from the fact that I thought that I was criticising the beginning of a professional film that had been released on dvd, which you had uploaded. I do love the play "Macbeth", and know the words of the first act off by heart, so I was really annoyed to see this deviation from the script. Sorry, again.

  • @MikeGreenwood51 Thank you for your intrest but we are only high school students so a full fledged film would prove difficult but the fact that you want to see more is the best compliment i could have ever recieved for this video.

  • @lutist Thank you very much for your kind words i'm glad you saw our meaning of this dark and bloody beginning to an equally dark play.

  • @darkallegiance666 we really just wanted to make our own adaptation of the first act, and we are only in high school so this wasn't supposed to be perfect, and we wanted the witches to be absolutley evil. But i am glad to entertain any of your views, and am happy you expressed you concerns.

  • Terrible!!! Kindly stick to the script in future instead of a turning it into a crappy would-be Hollywoodised production. Absolutely shit.

  • very interesting start...to establish the witches as pure evil. well done!

  • Watching it left me with a desire to see more. I really intresting adaption.
