Being interviewed in a graveyeard is a bit spinal tap
-
I believe they were "The Sunsets" not "The Strangers"
-
They started in Newcastle as the strangers moved after there was a bit of a blue about copywrite they went to The four strangers then to Taman shud. lindsay, zack danny the drummer

Wow! talk about a blast from the past!
I haven't heard of Taman Shud since my days in Oz. I left in 1977. They performed some great music on the soundtrack of the surfing movie, Morning of the Earth.

Tamam Shud is one of most incredible band from Australia. Their second LP 'Goolutionites and the Real People' is magnificent !!

thanks always lookinng for oz music info / lps. tony .

Hi Tony , thanx for that, This guy was actually called Lindsay Burke, and he was a German-born Australian about whom not too much is known. . His real odd gem came with 'Love All Life' which he did under the pseudonym Lindsay Blue. Both the albums were private presses, but the second is by far the rarest and most interesting. and it usually goes for hundreds of dollars depending on the condition.
-
Lindsay Blue is not Lindsay Bjerre of Tamam Shud. Lindsay Bjerre is a guitarist not a keyboard player. This keyboard playing Lindsay made one other equally rare independent album called 'Wilderness Awakening' in 1971 under his real name Lindsay Bourke. He was a German-descended, classically trained musician, poet and painter. As a solo artist he played concerts alongside Tully.

I saw them at Balgowlah Boys High School sometime around 67 or 68. They may have even played at my school Manly Boys High around then too.

A friend of mine years ago said that they played at his school too at Murrurundi in the Hunter Valley around 1969.
