Russian school system is different from American .
Preschool age 6, it's more Sunday school, there you learn how to write letters and to read.
So when you go to the 1st class at the age of 7 you have to write and read. September 1 is a Knowledge day in Russia . All schools celebrate this day, so we have meeting at the front of school. We sing songs, give our teachers flowers and they congratulate 1 class as they say "First time to the first class.
You are scared, you don't know anybody. You go the class and sit at the table and your school life begins. Teacher is very nice to you. One school year dived on 4 parts it's called quarters. So we have fall break. Winter and spring break 1 week, and of course summer break. Then you go to the second class , there you repeat what you learned at the first class. The classroom looks like his, 3 rows , 20 decks and there 2 people sitting at the one desk . Lessons begin at 8.30 and end at 2PM. We have 10 minutes breaks between lessons and a long break 30 min after 2 lesson .Usually we have 6 lessons in 1 day, each lesson is 40-45 minutes long, on Saturday sometimes it's 35. We have A,B,C,D,E classes. We have the same people from 5th class to 9th, for example I was at 5th A class, we had 30 people in our class and I was with them till my 11th grade. In American juniors, middle and high school 3 different types of school 3 different buildings. In Russia we have 1 building for all this school. 1,2, grade are located on the 1st floor, 3,4 on the second and from 5till 11 on the third floor. And every subject has its own floor : art, music on the 1st, history, pt, math, physics on the 2nd, chemistry, biology, literature, Russian, foreign language, law, economics on the 3rd floor. In every school is different I am telling you what was in mine. Also many schools have uniforms, girls wear blue dress and black apron and boys costumes. From 1 class till 4th there are also time after school where you can do your homework and then parents can pick you up. Juniors life begins at the 5th class, pretty girls, first love and angry teaches if you don't learn their lessons and don't do your homework. At the 5th class we begin to learn foreign language such as English or German. Also we have music lesson, history, math , botany, also we have lesson where girls learn how to cook and sew and boys learn how to make fix everything. 7th grade is a little bit difficult we began to study chemistry, biology, physics, algebra and geometry, economics. 9th class is graduation class , we pass exams and you have 2 choices. You can stay at school for 2 mores years or go to college for 3 years. Most choose school. So you go to 10 grade you learn more algebra, more physics, also there is law class and we don't have PT lesson. 11 th grade the most hardest grade, because we need to prepare to our final exam that is on June. So teachers give us more and more work to do. May 25th Graduation!! But until July we have exams like Russian and ligature, physics, chemistry, algebra and geometry, PT, foreign language, law, history,. Finally we passed all exams we received our high school diploma and we are free!!!! Next step is university , where your adult life begins.

If someone from Russia has a "Secondary Special" education, what does that mean?
killerkane214 1 year ago
@killerkane214 It means he graduated from high school (usually 9th grade) and went to college or technical school to get his profession. 3 years of specail education and he will get a diploma, that he is , for example , economist; but he needs to go to university to complete his education. Anyway he can work after college education.
