I been stung by one when I was a kid thinking it was just a big ant.
I saw it crawling on the ground and tried to scoop it in my hand, and after that It stung me very quickly and I yelled and shattered every single window on my block!
That was the worst sting I ever felt!

@PaintballinStL It's actually not classified as an ant. It is just called a "cow killer ant" because it has the appearance of being a big ant running around. The "cow killer" part of the name came up because people used an expression saying "the sting hurts so bad it could kill a cow". It is classified as a wasp, and it appears that it should be in the hornet group of wasps. That would probably be why the sting hurts so bad.

@TehzJuggernaut you're right.
