haha.... although there are many teochew in Singapore, this is my first time to see teochew MTV! We speak teochew when we know they are teochew, if not english or mandarin. You can find teochew mostly staying at hougang area.

yes it is teochew, very traditional though. most people speak slang teochew nowadays. its a shame. I myself am part of the majority! but the more we listen the more in touch we will become with the traditional language

I beg to differ. Teochew, by and large, is a refined dialect. Every dialect or language has its vulgar side.

I understand it but I think the lyrics is so uncultured, Teochew can sound much more refined.

Teochew is a rough language. But I like It and I am a native speaker who was born in Swatow and later immigrated to Oregon. There isn't much Teochew people in my town except for a few of my extended family. It is mostly Cantonese and Taishanese people that live in America
