I HAVE ONE OF THESE! Mum kept it from the 80's! I played with it a lot as a child. I think it's so funny!

I have one, I don't really like it very much though. I got it at a yard sale for about $5 . The keys are very small and the sounds aren't that useful (in my opinion). However, it's probably a good first keyboard for kids, since it's cheap and small.

Wow, that was my first keyboard. I rocked the hell out of the samba beat. In retrospect it was pretty cool that it was capable of playing back many chord layouts.

aw i have this same one. i learned keyboard on it as well when i was younger but i burned it when i plugged in the AC adapter at too high voltage one time :/ just flipped the switch and POP from the speaker.. doesn't work anymore. If anyone has one of these in good condition and ever wants to sell it post on ebay or amazon i'd like to know.. please. no outrageous prices i'm not made of money but i'd pay 20-40 if i don't get a good keyboard (or find the problem in mine) by then.

@Mr1p0d Nope! The PT-100 was one of Casio's last and most advanced multipulse squarewave based keyboards. As the "TableHooters" web site explains, "These instruments synthesize their main voice from 2 layered multipulse squarewaves with different digital envelopes followed by simple analogue filters. (Casio called this principle Consonant-Vowel synthesis.) The results can be very different from average videogame squarewave sounds and permit high quality timbres."

@corganb I think they both were around the same time... mid to late '80s.
