There are far more effective ways to control and destroy foxes humanly than dressing up in red with a pack of riders on horses and a pack of dogs and chasing one fox. So I disagree with your statement and thoughts. If I want to prove my manliness on a physical / primeval level I'd take up boxing, or perhaps, I'd have a word with my wife's milkman! ;-)

As a pretty effete city boy myself, I could never relate to the glorification of the countryside, rural life, and the contempt for cities Countryside Alliance types(and we have them here in the States) trade in. Jim Barrington, picks on foxes because he isn't man enough to pick on people. Why doesn't he box?

Mind you, we all know what happened to the Countryside Alliance when they came to London, they got their collective ar5es kicked by the Met.

Poor Brian, does he drive a car with a long bonnet to make up for his infrequency or does he leave it to his wife's milkman! :-)
